Bio
Larry Bedell, aka Larry B, born in Springfield, MO the eighth of twelve children. Larry graced the stage at the early age of nine with his brothers. In 1964, “The Fabulous Elites” a 16 piece R&B group and Review was formed which toured the states in the mid-west disbanding in 1970. In 1972 Larry Bedell, his brothers and friends formed “KC Express” a 7-piece R&B Band touring the US while signed with Stax Records Company in Memphis TN.
In 1977 Larry Bedell relocated to Los Angeles, CA and signed with Maverick Flat Talent Agency and worked with such acts as Love Machine, Buzz Cooper, Gwynn Brisco, Pat Davis, Howard Hewitt and Ralph Johnson of Earth, Wind & Fire. Larry was music director for Buzz Cooper.
After relocating to Dallas TX in 1985 he worked with artist, Johnny Taylor, Clint Strong (guitarist for Willie Nelson) and producer Phil York who introduced Larry to Dr. Doug Parker (Ortho Surgeon for the Dallas Cowboys). In 1986 Larry Bedell relocated to Fort Smith, AR to join country rock group, “Grey Ghost” managed by Doug Parker. After one year, Peter Sullivan, former president of Apple Records who have signed groups like The Beatles, Tom Jones and others, signed Grey Ghost, which charted 16 songs in the top billboard 100. The group toured the world performing with such acts as Willie Nelson, Earth Wind & Fire, Commodores, Vince Gill and many more. Grey Ghost appeared on Ralph Emory’s Nashville Now.
In 1993 Larry B created his own personal band, Larry B & TCR which performed many years while generating a huge fan base. Larry Bedell has always been known for his exceptional gift as an entertainer with a unique voice that captures your attention from the first note.
